Sewage and Bacterial Testing
Checking buildings for fungal, bacteriological, viral, and parasitic contaminants which may affect occupant health can be included as part of an Assessment. Sewage or septic system backups within a structure resulting in the infiltration or accumulation of gray water and black water (sewage) can cause a wide range of hazards in buildings.
Sewage leaks into a building are a concern especially if prompt and competent cleaning were not performed. Prompt attention to sewage leaks and septic backup will help to avoid transmission of bacterial contamination to other building areas. Improper cleanup can result high levels of pathogens remaining present but invisible to the naked eye.
