Structural Assessments of Illegal Marijuana Growing Operations
During a structural assessment the subject property is assessed externally first. This includes an evaluation of the grading, building envelope/exterior cladding and roof shingles. This is followed by an internal assessment on a room-by-room basis in which all rooms are inspected for any alterations and/or modifications created as part of the Illegal Marijuana Growing Operation. Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Systems are not reviewed as part of this Assessment.
The inspector’s findings are detailed in the structural assessment report. This report outlines the items that require repair and/or additional inspection as part of the normal process of reconstruction in accordance with the Building Code when obtaining a Building Permit.
